After the loss of his parents, Wade Wilson became a mercenary. He was also in the military for a breif time before becoming a mercneary and taking on assassinaton jobs. Then sad news was brought up, Wade Wilson has terminal cancer and there was no cure, but he tried to find one and came across the only cure, the Weapon X program. He was brought to the lab and was being tested on to try and replicate Wolverine's power. Wade Wilson was tortured in the lab, he was experimented on and injected with a serum. It cured his cancer, and it also gave him an incredible healing power as well, but he was called a failed Weapon X experiment after his body and face became disfigured, making him suicidal, and was sent to Department K. He escaped the place and set the other failed experiments free. He gave himself the name, Deadpool, named after a bet on which experiment would die first in Department K. After escaping, he would go and hunt down the people who did all this to him, Ajax and Dr Killbrew.
In the movie, Wade Wilson was taken to a place called The Workshop, A place where Weapon X and Department K was combined into one building. In The Workshop, Wade Wilson was put in life threatening experiments to force the mutant powers to be a superpower. He still escaped and game himself the name Deadpool, but he got it from the Hellhouse, a place where Mercenarys come and hang out. He got the name from a bet on which Mercenary will die first. He was told that he wouldn't win the "dead pool" with his brand new healing power. He gave himself the name, Captain Deadpool, but was later changed to Deadpool. And instead of hunting down two people he only hunted down Ajax because Dr. Killbrew was not in the movie, instead, Ajax did everything that happened in the comics with some help.
Deadpool had many people in his life, but four stuck out to me after looking at the movie and comics. One of them would be the love intrest, Vanessa. In the comics, Vanessa was a late teenage woman that Wade Wilson loved, but in the movie, she is an adult. Peole say that the change is a good thing. Another change would be about her powers in the comic. In the comic, Vanessa had mutant powers and went by the name Copycat. In the movies however, Vanessa doesn't have any powers and gets killed off in Deadpool 2. Number two would be Deadpool's roommate, Blind Al. Althea Sanderson, better known as Blind Al, is very much different in the movies than the comics. In the comics, she met Wade Wilson before he was Deadpool in a misson where he was set out to kill her. Wade Wilson killed everyone, but let her go. After he got his powers, he captured Blind Al and took her to his apartment, where he had her as a prisoner and treated her like trash. He would do a crual prank to where he would put her in the room with sharp objects everywhere and she wouldn't get hurt if she remained still, but Blind Al would be cruel back at times as well. Her favorite prank would be putting laxatives in his food. However, in the movie, Blind Al met Wade Wilson after his powers. He wasn't set out to kill her tho, he met Blind Al in a laundromat and she helped Deadpool get blood out of his clothes. Then, Deadpool became her roommate in a craigslist ad to hide out from Ajax. Instead of horrible pranks, they would just jab at eachother with insults. Very different from the comics. Coming up at number three would Bob, an agent for Hydra. Before saying anything about Bob, Hydra is a group of terrorist. Both Deadpool and Bob was in it, but in the movie, They were not. Instead of being part of a goup together, Fox decided to make it where Bob was just a cameo in the movie because they didn't have the rights to Hydra. So instead of Hydra Bob, is name would just be Bob. And saving the best for last, at number four, we have Nathan Charles / Cable. When Deapool first met Cable, it was really different. In the comic, Deadpool met Cable from a assassination misson, but in the movie, Cable met Deadpool after traveling to the future to kill Russell Collins, a mutant, so that Russell does not grow up to become a killer. The motivation for this is because Russell killed his family. So when Cable came to kill Russel, Deadpool's team stop Cable and they become enemies at first. Even in the comic they became ememies just different, but in the comic they teamed up for missions, starting a partner dynamic between the two. In the movie, Cable later teams up with Deapool to save the one he was meant to kill so that the future does not end up like his. Weird friendship they have going on.
